We know that leaving your new baby for the first time can be overwhelming. The volunteers in our infant classrooms have been chosen for this age group because of their love for babies and their training to care for all of the needs of your infant. We hope that the following information will help you and your baby have a great experience on Sunday morning.
Please bring diapers, bottles, pacifiers, and any special blankets that will soothe your baby through the morning.
Label all items that belong to your baby.
Please fill out the sign-in sheet located outside your baby’s classroom with any details concerning feeding and napping schedules.
To ensure that your babies receive the best care, we adhere to a one volunteer to every three children ratio in our infant and crawler classroom.
We promote your children from this classroom based on development. So, when they start walking, we will move them up to a toddler room. Your children’s teachers will communicate with you before this change is made.
Toddlers & 3's
This is a fun and active stage in your children’s lives. We are excited to have them in Harvest Kids Club and look forward to teaching them that God loves them, God made them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.
Our teaching plan begins in our toddler classrooms. All activities are age- appropriate gospel-centered curriculum with plenty of flexibility for the normal needs of toddlers and three-year-olds.
3s to 5s
We believe that it is our responsibility to introduce preschoolers to their Heavenly Father. So before they leave Harvest Kids Club, we want them to know:
God loves me,
God made me, and
Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Every month we focus on one of these three basic truths. Each week your children will learn a Bible story and participate in fun, creative activities that teach the one key truth for the month.
If you would like to know what your children are learning, please ask the volunteer in service You are the best teacher for your children, so use the activities to talk about God all week at home.
6 to 12
Kids are challenged every Sunday to trust God, make wise choices, and build lasting friendships.
Each child is greeted at their classroom by their coach and small group leader. Kids participate with their small group in an activity meant to introduce the one TRUTH, or bottom line, we want kids to walk away with and remember that morning.
Shortly after arriving, kids are moved to their large group environment where they hear the Bible story. We use costumes, props, and characters from the story - anything that makes the Bible come to life. We also carve out time each week for kids to sing as loud as they want and tell God how much they love Him.
After participating in Large Group, kids travel back to their small group classroom where their leaders help them understand how the day's bottom line can fit into their everyday life. Small group leaders are serious about having fun with kids and passionate about teaching the TRUTH. We want kids to see how God's word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. Every Sunday they connect with the same small group of kids and the same small group leader. That way they get connected and we have the best chance to establish a relationship that's going to matter when they need it most.
Each Sunday, staff and volunteers work hard to create a safe and meaningful class experience for your children. Here are a few things you need to know to help us make the morning GREAT.
• If you are a guest, please visit the guest center. This is where your children will be assigned to their classrooms. Connection team members will then escort you to those rooms.
• Doors will open 15 minutes before service and closed 5 minutes after service starts. Teachers will be prepared to check your children in to their classrooms 15 minutes before the start of the service. Again after worship
• Please complete the sign-in sheet at the door and make sure that all items that belong to your children are labeled.
• It’s important to inform the teachers of any allergies or health concerns.
• Please do not pick up your children early, as it can be disruptive to other children and the classroom activities.
